Barby Ingle has received over 35 accolades for her work in the chronic pain community. She is a chronic pain educator, patient advocate, Immediate-Past President of the International Pain Foundation, motivational speaker, and best-selling author on pain topics.

She has been a pain patient since developing endometriosis in 1997 and reflex sympathetic dystrophy in 2002 (aka. Algoneurodystrophy). Barby completed nine seasons of the live digital-tv webisodes of The Ken and Barby Show with her husband, Ken Taylor, and has been featured over 2000 times in the media (newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and blog articles) and has appeared 27 times on TLC’s Extreme Time Cheaters program since 2015. She has published nine books and has three more in the making currently, as well as being a feature in Cheerleader! An American Icon Book. 

Barby serves the Rare Disease and Pain Community as a volunteer for the International Pain Foundation, Global Genes, Rare Disease Legislative Advocates, Reality Rally, and multiple support groups. Her work with the International Pain Foundation – Member 2006-2010, Executive Director 2011-2012, President 2013-2022, is one of her leading efforts, serving in multiple positions over the years. Currently, Barby serves as a Legislative District Committeeman in LD5 of Arizona, is the print editor of iPain Living Magazine, and a regular columnist for Pain News Network.
